Team workspaces
Create a team workspace, switch between it and your personal workspace, invite people by e-mail, and share standard parts in the team library.
A team workspace is a shared home for your team's Things, projects and AI credits. Your personal workspace stays as it is: it is just for you, and you can't invite anyone into it.
Create a team workspace
- Open the workspace switcher in the top bar (it shows the workspace you're in) and choose Create team workspace…. You can also do it from Account → Profile → Workspaces.
- Give it a name, an optional address (we suggest one from the name) and an optional picture (PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 2 MB).
- You land on Billing & plan for the new workspace. Choose Team, pick how many seats to start with, and finish the checkout.
Until the Team plan is bought the workspace is read-only, and a banner tells you so. You are its owner.
Switch workspaces
The switcher in the top bar lists every workspace you belong to, with your role in each. Picking one makes it active: Home, Projects, Library, Trash and the credits chip all show that workspace. Your choice is saved to your account, so it follows you to other tabs and devices.
Things, projects and credits always belong to one workspace. A Thing you create goes into the active workspace.
Invite people
Go to Members & seats (from the switcher, or ⌘K → Members & seats).
- Type one or more e-mail addresses (separate them with commas or new lines).
- Pick a role for them (see Roles and permissions).
- Select Send invite.
Each person gets an e-mail with a link. The link:
- works only for the address it was sent to,
- works once and expires after 7 days,
- lets people who are new to Solid Vibes create their account on the spot.
Every open invite holds a seat. If all seats are taken, Solid Vibes offers to add seats first (see Seats and team billing).
In the Open invites list, admins can Resend an invite (this sends a new link; the old one stops working) or Revoke it (its seat is free again).
Leave or hand over a workspace
- Leave: Members & seats → the ⋯ menu on your own row → Leave workspace…, or Workspace settings → Leave workspace. An admin can invite you back.
- Transfer ownership: the owner opens the ⋯ menu on another member's row → Make owner…. The previous owner becomes an admin. Owners can't leave until they hand the workspace over.
- Delete: only the owner, from Workspace settings. The Team subscription is cancelled first, then every Thing, project, commit and file in the workspace is deleted. You type the workspace name to confirm.
The team library
On the Team plan, the Library has a Team library tab: the Things your team marked as shared team parts (house-standard brackets, enclosures, fastener sets).
- To add a Thing, open its ⋯ menu in Projects and choose Mark as team part, or press ⌘K → Mark as team part while it is open. Editors, admins and the owner can do this.
- To take it out, choose Remove from team library. The Thing itself is unchanged.
- Everyone in the workspace can browse and open team parts.
Try it
Make a Thing your team should reuse, then mark it as a team part and ask a teammate to find it under Library → Team library.
