Plans and limits
What each plan includes: Things, private Things, storage, credits, exports and features. And what happens when you reach a limit (spoiler: nothing is deleted or locked).
Every plan raises the same handful of dials: how many Things you can have, how many of those can be private, how much storage you get, and which features are unlocked.

How the limits work
Things
A Thing is a project you own. Your plan sets the total you can have, and how many of them can be private. Everything beyond your private limit is public, shared as open source. This is an important rule, so it has its own article: Private and public Things.
Things you use from the Marketplace (a screw, a hinge) never count toward your limit or your storage when that feature arrives. Only Things you own count.
Storage
Storage covers everything you own: geometry and history, uploads, concept images, renders, drawings and exports.
- A meter in your account shows usage.
- You get warnings at 80 percent and 100 percent.
- Solid Vibes never deletes your data silently to make room.
Credits
Credits pay for AI work and heavier compute, such as agent edits, concept images, drawings sheets and renders. Monthly credits reset each period. Top-up packs carry over. See Credits, explained and Credit packs and running low.
Features
Some features are tied to plan level: export formats, drawing depth, render resolution, history tools, Smart mode and sharing permissions. When you reach for one your plan does not include, you see a polite upgrade prompt at that moment, not a wall.
What happens when you reach a limit
Hitting a limit is never a disaster:
- Nothing is deleted. Not your Things, your history, your files.
- Nothing is locked. You can keep viewing and editing the Things you have.
- New Things wait. Creating another Thing past your limit pauses until you do one of the following:
- upgrade your plan,
- free a slot (for example, by deleting a Thing you no longer need),
- or, if the private limit is the issue, publish an existing Thing as public to free a private slot.
Storage follows the same principle. At 100 percent your existing work stays available, and you can free space or upgrade to add more.
Choosing a plan
| If you... | Consider |
|---|---|
| Are exploring, or making one or two things | The free trial |
| Print regularly, want STEP export, branches, Smart mode | Maker |
| Need drawings with tolerances, DXF/DWG/PDF, 4K renders, full git history, many private Things | Pro |
| Work on a team and share a library | Team (coming soon) |
Upgrade triggers you will notice: more Things, more private Things, more storage, STEP export, drawings, branches, Smart mode, and sharing.
Changing or canceling your plan
Manage your plan from Account, Billing & plan (you can also search "billing" or "upgrade" in the command palette). If you cancel, your designs are never deleted, and the Billing page tells you exactly when paid features end. Without an active plan, an account is read-only, with viewing and STL download available, as after the free trial.
Try it
Press ⌘K (or Ctrl + K), type plan, and open Billing & plan. Check your Things and storage meters, and note which features your plan includes.

Private and public Things (the open-source rule)
