Your free trial: what you get and what happens after
14 days and 300 AI credits, no card required. What is included, how the meters work, and why nothing you made is ever deleted when the trial ends.
There is no free-forever plan in Solid Vibes. Instead, every new account starts with a free trial that is generous enough to take a real idea from description to a printed object. When it ends, you choose a paid plan, and until you do, your work stays safe.

The goal of the trial is simple: a beginner can go from an idea to a printed Thing without paying anything.
Starting the trial
Sign up with Google, Apple, GitHub, an email link, or an email and password. The trial begins right away, with no payment details. After signing up you are offered a passkey for faster sign-in next time, and a 60-second onboarding asks what brings you here and which printer or process you use, so your first project starts configured.
Following your usage
A friendly credit meter and a days-left indicator sit in the app. They never block you mid-task. Upgrade suggestions appear at natural moments, such as when you export in a format your plan does not include, create a branch, or switch to Smart mode.
Making 300 credits go far
Costs vary with the action and the mode. As a rough guide using today's defaults in Fast mode:
| One small project | Credits |
|---|---|
| A round of 4 concept images | 20 |
| A multi-step build from a prompt | about 6 |
| Ten simple edits | 10 |
| A photo or drawing to model | 10 |
| An auto drawing sheet | 5 |
| Total | about 50 |
That means a few complete projects, with room to experiment. Tips for stretching your credits:
- Draft in Fast and use Smart only for hard requests.
- Ask questions freely. Routing is free.
- Use sliders and manual tools for small tweaks. They do not use credits.
- Combine a few related edits into one clear request.
- Explore looks in Concept before building geometry you might throw away.

What happens when the trial ends
When the 14 days are up (or earlier, if you subscribe), your account is handled like this:
- Your account becomes read-only until you subscribe.
- You can still view all your Things and download STL files.
- Nothing is deleted. Your designs, history, files and renders stay exactly as they were.
- As soon as you subscribe, editing and the agent are available again, and you pick up where you left off.
If you want to keep exports like STEP, drawings, branches or Smart mode, a paid plan unlocks them. Plans and limits compares the plans.
Common questions
Do unused trial credits carry over to a paid plan? Paid plans come with their own monthly credit allowance. Check your Billing page for how your trial balance is treated at the time you subscribe.
Can I get more time? Trial extensions are sometimes available. If you are in the middle of a project, ask through the help center or support.
Will I be charged automatically? No card is collected for the trial by default, so there is nothing to charge. You choose when and if to subscribe.
What about Things I made during the trial that are public? See Private and public Things. The trial includes 2 private slots, and the rest of your Things are public.
Try it
Make the most of day one. Open Home, choose a template, and ask:
I want to make a stand for my tablet. Ask me three quick questions about its size, its weight and how I will use it, then build a first version.
Then check your credit meter to see what the project cost.
