Pooled credits and member caps
On the Team plan everyone spends AI credits from one shared pool. See who used what this month, and let admins cap a member's monthly share.
In a team workspace, AI credits belong to the workspace, not to each person. Every seat adds its monthly allowance to one pool (on the Team plan, 4,000 credits per seat per month; the exact number is set by your plan), and everyone spends from it.
The pool
- Monthly credits refill at the start of each billing month and don't carry over.
- Credit packs top up the same pool and never expire. They are used after the monthly credits.
- Adding a seat mid-month adds that seat's credits right away.
The credits chip in the top bar always shows the pool of the workspace you're in.
Who used what
Open Credit usage (from the workspace switcher, the tabs on Members & seats, or ⌘K → Team credit usage). It shows:
- what is available now,
- how much of this month's allowance has been spent,
- each member's spend this period, with their cap if they have one.
Credits used by people who have since left are listed separately.
Monthly caps per member
Admins and the owner can stop one person from using up the whole pool:
- On Credit usage, select Set cap next to the member.
- Turn on Limit their share of the pool and enter a number of credits per month.
- Select Save. Use Edit cap to change it or turn it off.
When someone reaches their cap, AI actions pause for them until the monthly credits reset, with a message that says so before any work starts. Everyone else keeps going. Caps count credits since the last monthly refill, and refunds for failed runs count back toward the cap.
Try it
Set a small cap (for example 50 credits) on a test member, ask them to run a few agent edits, and watch their bar fill up on Credit usage.
