Find something like this photo
Drop, paste or pick a photo in the Marketplace search box: we read what it is and its rough size, then show listings that look and mean the same, even when they use different words.

Sometimes you don't know what a part is called. Show it instead.
How
- Open the Marketplace and sign in.
- Drop a photo onto the search box, paste one (⌘V / Ctrl+V), or click the camera button.
- You see what the photo was read as (for example Hinges and joints · ~40 mm leaf) and the closest listings.
PNG, JPG and WebP work. The photo is uploaded to your workspace and virus-checked like any upload, and it's never published.
What it costs
One photo search uses 1 AI credit by default (admins can change this). Nothing is charged if the search fails.
How it works
The same image reader the agent uses works out what the object is, its features and its rough size. That description becomes an embedding, a list of numbers that captures meaning, and is compared with the embeddings of every listing (title, summary, tags and parameters). So "door pivot" can find a listing called "Print-in-place hinge".
Word searches use the same meaning-based matching alongside the exact words, which is why typos and synonyms still find things.
Tips
- One object per photo, filling most of the frame.
- Put a coin or a ruler next to it if size matters: the reader uses it as a scale.
- No good match? Drop the photo into a new Thing instead and ask the agent to build a mating part.

Find and remix Things from the Marketplace
Search by words or by fit ("hinge for a 3 mm lid", "M3 standoff"), check printability and ratings, then remix a Thing into your workspace with its full history, its license and automatic credit to the creator.

Use parts from the Marketplace in your Things
Drop a hinge, a screw or a board mount from the Marketplace into your Thing as a linked part: configured on the way in ("M3 × 12, pan head"), pinned to a version, read-only until you unlink it, and counted in your Make list like any piece.
