Your profile menu: install the app and About Solid Vibes
What is in the menu under your picture at the top right, how to install Solid Vibes as an app from it, and how to find your version number for a bug report.
Click your picture and name at the top right to open the profile menu. It has your account pages (Profile, Security, Billing & plan, AI credits), the Theme switch, the Help center, Install as an app (only when it can work), About Solid Vibes and Sign out.
Install as an app
Install as an app puts Solid Vibes in its own window, with its own icon, and no address bar or tabs. It is the same app and the same account. The item is there only when installing makes sense:
- In Chrome or Edge it shows once your browser says the app can be installed. Choose it and confirm in the browser's own dialog.
- In Safari (on a Mac with Safari 17 or newer, or on an iPhone or iPad) it shows the steps instead, because Safari does not let a web page open its own install dialog: Share, then Add to Dock on a Mac, Share, then Add to Home Screen on an iPhone or iPad.
- It is hidden when you already use the installed app, or when your browser cannot install web apps (for example Firefox on a computer).
The same thing is available in ⌘K as Install as an app. More about it, and about full screen, in Full screen and installing Solid Vibes as an app.
About Solid Vibes
About Solid Vibes opens a small window with what the product is, who made it, and exactly which build you are running:
- Version and build: for example
Version 0.1.0 · build 1a2b3c4 · built 2026-10-18 14:02 UTC. The build is the short id of the exact code that is running, and the time is in UTC. - Environment:
productionfor the real service, stagingfor the test copy, localon a developer's computer. - Copy: puts a one-line summary on your clipboard, such as
Solid Vibes 0.1.0 (1a2b3c4) production. Paste it into any bug report or message to support, so we know exactly what you saw. - Links: the Help center, the Terms, the Privacy policy and Open-source licenses.
Press Esc to close the window. It works on a phone too.
Open-source licenses
Solid Vibes is built on a lot of open-source software: the 3D engine, the fonts, the icons, the building blocks of the interface. The Open-source licenses page lists each of them with its version and licence, grouped by licence type, and points to the source and the licence text. The CAD kernel (OpenCascade) is shared under the LGPL; its source is linked there. You can also reach the page from Open-source licenses in the footer of the public site, or at /legal/open-source.
Try it
- Open the profile menu and choose About Solid Vibes.
- Click Copy, then paste somewhere to see the version line.
- Press Esc, open the menu again and look for Install as an app.
