Open your print in your slicer in one click
Send a print-ready 3MF, with your layer height, infill, supports and material already set, straight to Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer or Cura.
When the part is ready, you should not have to download a file, hunt for it, and drag it into your slicer. In Make → Print there is one button for that.
The one-click way
- Open your Thing, go to Make, then Print.
- Pick your printer and check the part sits on the bed the way you want. Turn it if you like. Your design never changes.
- Under Send to your slicer, choose your slicer. We remember it for next time.
- Press Open in Bambu Studio (or OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer, Cura).
We build the 3MF, already in your print orientation and centred on your bed, and hand your slicer a link that works for 10 minutes. Your browser may ask whether it can open the app. Say yes.
The settings come with the file
Press Change to set:
- Layer height (0.12 to 0.28 mm)
- Infill (5 to 100%)
- Supports (Auto uses what the printability check found, or force On or Off)
The material comes from the one you picked in Make, and the bed size and nozzle from your printer. For Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and PrusaSlicer these are written into the 3MF as a project, so they are already set when it opens. Everything else (speeds, temperatures, your filament profile) stays with your own presets, so check them before you slice.
Cura can't read settings from a 3MF. It opens the part and we show you the numbers to set by hand.
If nothing opens
- PrusaSlicer only follows links after you turn on Configuration → Preferences → Associate prusaslicer:// links, once.
- Bambu Studio asks whether to trust the file because it comes from a site it doesn't know. Choose Yes. It is your own file.
- Cura needs version 5.7 or newer.
- On any slicer, use the Open in … link in the green box, or press Download 3MF and open the file yourself: File → Open Project (Bambu, Orca), File → Import (Prusa), File → Open File(s) (Cura).
- The link only works for 10 minutes. Press the button again for a fresh one.
If we can't keep a copy of the file for a link, we download it for you and tell you how to open it.
Good to know
- The link carries only your file, nothing else, and stops working after 10 minutes.
- The 3MF is a normal 3MF. Any slicer can open it.
- We don't send jobs to a printer yet. You press Print in your slicer.
- Parts bigger than your bed will make the slicer offer to split them. Do it in Build first: see Split a part to fit your printer.
